Need for training

Training is a process of learning. It is application of knowledge and practical skills that relate to specific useful competencies. It gives an awareness of the rules and procedures.

Training increase the knowledge and skills of an employee for performing a particular job or prepares them for an intended job. The major outcome of training is learning.

A trainee learns new habits, refines skills and useful knowledge during the training that helps him/her improve performance.

Features of training:-

◙ Increase knowledge and skills for doing a particular job.

◙ Bridges a gap between job needs and employee skills, knowledge and  behaviour.

◙ Focuses attention on the current job.

◙ Concentrates on individual employee. It changing what employees know, how they work, their attitudes towards their work.

◙ Job oriented process.

◙ Short term activity designed essentially for operatives.

Significances of training :-

◙ Training offers innumerable benefits to both employees and employer. It makes employees more productive and more useful to an organization.

◙ Its significances can be studied under two heads:

       ● Benefits to the business

◙ Basically it is a learning experience that is planned and carried out by the organization to enable more skilled task behaviour by the trainee.           

◙ It imparts the ability to detect and correct error.

NEED FOR TRAINING

◙ Training is important for newly recruited employees require training so as to perform their task effectively. Training help them to handle jobs competently, without any wastage.

◙ Training is necessary to prepare exiting employees for promotion.

◙ Old employee employees require refresher training so as to keep abreast of the latest developments in job operations. In the face of  rapid technological  changes, this is an absolute necessity.

◙ Training is necessary when a person moves from one job to anther. After training, the employee can change jobs quickly, improve his performance levels and achieve career goals comfortably.

◙ Training is necessary to make employees mobile. They can be placed on various jobs depending on organizational needs.

guys ..training is also necessary for an employee to learn about the work culture of the organisation...and that is the most important thing,for an employee and organisation both.
